Does anyone have the picture of Rick Johnson cliff diving a 1988 CR500 at Palm Ave that was in DirtBike magazine back when they tested the bike? I loved that picture it was crazy for the time.

Tried to find some of those myself just a few weeks ago, no luck though.

I remember the story said that one of the top off-road guys at the time was trying to ride down the cliffs and busted a wrist of collarbone or something like that. Johnson simply flew to within a few feet of the bottom to absorb the landing.

I remember it and I hit the same jump not long after. The little prejump they built was still there. I remember it was sketchy because there was a concrete drainage ditch at the bottom.

if you weren't a world champ, i'd call you out on that.

i have that issue somewhere but i'm too lazy to look for it.
