That will certainly make it tough.

RV has had plenty of breaks this year. Unfortunately they have all been bad breaks. He should have moved up.

Can't take anything away from Canard, but RV is certainly NOT at the top of his game right now because of the injuries he's had.

He was off the bike until a week before the season started.

[quote:20vu0ftd]Insiders (and I can’t name them because then they would become outsiders) tell me that Ryan Villopoto’s wrist is worse than he’s making it seem. People seem to think that his riding style is not the same because he’s compensating for his injury. There has to be some kind of problem because he hasn’t been the same guy he was at Budd’s Creek in September.[/quote:20vu0ftd]

Ummmmm, what about his riding at Daytona was different from last year??? I didn't see anything. People are acting like he has been running in 5th all season or something. He'll probably win the next race, but that's JMHO.

You can't really be judging the riding style shown in the quagmire of Daytona as a baromoter can you? I mean, how can you even come close to compare the way he rode there to a dry track, which is the norm?

I said that because to me he looked like the fastest guy on the track, just like last year, he just happened fall and run off the track more than Trey. To me he looked like the same hard charging Ryan.

Either way, he may be less than 100%, but he's still fast enough to win races. BTW, this IS racing, stuff happens.

Look at his season, need any more proof?LOL

Plus, its the internet, when you type it it is fact, you know how that works.

From what I saw at atlanta in the dome watching practice when RV sat down to watch to dude is a prick. He blew off kids asking to sign a shirt.

He screwed up staying in the rookie class. Canard and Jlaw will own him when the outdoors starts.

You mean when he was watching the race track, he might have actually been looking at the track and trying to gain some knowledge from watching how other people rode it? That bastard!!!!!

Imagine someone taking their profession seriously enough to actually try to concentrate and learn it well.....

You on crack or something? Where was Jlaw in the last outdoor season? He has a few good SX races and now all of sudden he's going to sweep everything.

Actually, his Profession (what he is PAID FOR) is to promote product and brand. He can win all the races out there, but if he's a prick to the customer base, refusing autograph requests, and blowing off fan interaction, then he isn't doing his job very well. Bring a good rep for your sponsors is MORE important than winning. Look at TP199, he is probobly just as good ROI as RC and he hasn't won a race in years.

Not saying RV is or isn't a prick, I have nothing to go on other than what I see on tv. Although he does seem to be frustrated in his interviews this year so far.

I'd bet that his contract spells out his commitments to autograph sessions, etc., that his employer expects out of him.

TP isn't a MX/SX racer anymore, using him is apples to oranges. If RV stopped racing tomorrow, he wouldn't have the following that TP has. Kawasaki wouldn't keep him around the way Suzuki appears to have done with TP.

Parents need to teach their kids to let people do their jobs, and if they just have to have a piece of paper with a name on it, then to get it at the proper time.

It's Josh Grant's fault for sinking Villo's battleship with a torpedo move.
