I knew that was you from previous posts on MT, before the accident and after.
Living proof that human beings can withstand an unbelievable amount of damage if the mind is strong.
You are one tough SOB to come back from that and never give up.
I knew about the crash I just didn't know that you were the passenger in the Vett.
To see that pick of you riding the bike and knowing now where you came from is awesome.
You are an inspiration and I wish you all the best.
Keep on keeping on.
You done your 140.6 yet?

I raced Ironman Florida back in november. Things went bad. I got hit by a car 5 weeks out and had a stress fracture in my knee going into the race. I made it to about mile 6 before I called it a day. I also had food poisioning as well on race day. Not a fun day.

Actually, yes, yes I am. Its taken a very long time for me to be able to say that. As some of you have seen, I've had some rough times over the last few years. But, I've finally been able to more or less sort out most of my demons in my head.

That's good to hear. What's behind you is exactly that, behind you. Keep pushing.
The tough question:
Do you regret being in the accident? -Because chances are if you were not injured you would have never had the intention/drive to become an athlete / trainer...
Do you remember the accident, or what lead up to you two haulin' butt down a little road?

I was an athlete before I was hurt. But not as dedicated as I am now. I try and not look at it that way. I regret nothing in life. You can either spend your time thinking about the past and trying to live in it, or you can take what you have now and live in the moment. Yes, I know that sounds really cheesy and cliche to say, but its the truth.

I know. I am getting off here in a minute. Gonna ride the trainer for a few hours with trash bags and sweet pants on. Coach says I am still too fat. Who would have thought that being 158 pounds would be too fat?
You fuckin cow!

Har, yes I remember it. Not one of the memories I'd like to have. I don't work for him. I work in spinal cord rehab now. I did some filming with him for 199 Lives.
And the million dollar question, yes we're still friends.
You fuckin cow![/quote:3p9yx9mi]
No shit, I wonder if I can race at 154?
Glad to hear your feeling pretty good these days! I remember the hazy times that I worried about you. Since you moved the CA, and Dave moved close to where you lived, does that mean he's going to CA next?? I may try to goto the US open this year. If so, I'll definately call and let you know to see if you plan to make it.
Keep in touch man, especially if you come back some times. Dave still hasen't visited and he's like 5 miles away

Whatever don't kill you makes you stronger, never more true words been spoken.
However, him trashing that 'Vette really pisses me off.
