Boy, did that bring back memories!! I've still got a brand new yellow Jofa somewhere upstairs and I owned a pair of M. Robert Roboots!! I had a red pair. I was thinking about those and that company just the other day. I remember reading that the trick to them was rubbing parrafin wax over the front slider part so they moved easier.

What ever became of M. Robert?

Great pics - thanks.

Yep. Those and the MXL boot benefitted from the parrafin. I kept a block in my toolbox, (but it would get soft and mushy on hot days <img class= " title="Laughing"> ).

OH MY GOD!! I had that book back in the VERY early 80's. I remember staring at some of the photos for HOURS. Anyone that wants a great book that has A LOT of what is now vintage photos needs to get this book. I was looking at them on ebay a few weeks ago and they were going for about $20.00. A great book for any moto historian!!

$20.00 is too cheap. That book set me back $9.95, 27 years ago.

I see you even made the little slice in the front of the boot to make it slide easier. I did the same thing with my pair. The worst thing about those boots is how un-waterproof they were.

I too used to stare at the pics for hours. I think mine is somewhere at my parents house. Need to hunt for it during the holidays. I do have the On Any Sunday LP in my closet.

I still have that book as well.....somewhere. I tried looking for it but with about 50 boxes of moto mags to look through I might never see it again! lol

I pulled that book out and showed it to db...that's him as a kid on the Bultaco. He said it brought back some great memories.
Funny thing about that book- Gary attempts to explain "scrubbing" or throwing your bike sideways to slow it down off jumps. That's a great book.
