Ok i have played this game now about 3 hours.
I think only grafics are better than MXGP1. Shitty game whit arcade physics and it is too easy again.
My first race whit no helps, manual gears, hard AI and easy win.
I´m glad that i pay it only 20€.

That's disappointing to hear, especially about the weak AI.

Well I think they did a really good job with the AI

I've always won in every mx game so easily and in this one, trust me it's hard! With 22 riders, if you crash one then it's hard to get in to the top 3

Really?
AI drivers race literaly same line whole race like trains. Good AI? Bullshit.
If you cut inline in corners and make blockpass, it's you who eats dirt. Always.
Physics are crap.
Only mistake you can make is falldown.
If you miss rythm jumps, you don't see that in lap times.

Tried this game and it's... lame. AI riders act as one, look stiff and only you (the player) will seperate from the field (especially when looking replays). AI riders are just concrete blocks - push you however they want without risk to fall and you will fall often. Terrain deformation is a joke - I saw only tyre tracks on flat ground. WTF? But the worst thing is the synthetic engine sound. OMG. You will want to mute game after few hours. Another annoying thing is too narrow tracks and every little mistake when you drive off the track will reset your bike. Sponsor banners made of conrete. Besides, they managed to screw controls also. I used to play the first MXGP game with gamepad, but now you can't remap all buttons to suit your liking.

alright so ill disagree, i think for a console game its pretty good. nothing will still touch mx sim, and if you just want to go wide open and scrub and whip everything then stick to mx atv sx. otherwise its worth it for something different, and the graphics and bike customization make it sick.

physics much better than the first, still need a lot of work but its better. i only played for about 20 min but after doing so tried to race glen helen on realistic and got dead last, so for now i think the ai is fine and i definitely have some work to do. im also not a video game nerd though but i can rip on mx sim and mx atv

i also have physics at advanced cluch/weight/etc to manual. you have to actually think a lot and know when to use brakes and be in the right gears. its challenging, but i found that playing first person i do a lot better and it looks sweet too. because i actually know when to brake and stuff, vs 3rd person i kind of just forget and think i can go wide open everywhere.

if your on the fence give it a shot, my 2 cents

You must really suck ass at Motocross Video Games if you cant beat the AI's like for real. In every Motocross video game or any video games the AI are always easy.

I opened this thread yesterday, and was going to write this huge rant about how much this game sucks. About two paragraphs in, I lost the connection to the internet and it was lost. I went home last night and gave it one last shot. While it's not the steaming pile of crap I wrote about yesterday, I'm still hugely disappointed.

This is Reflex/Alive all over again. How do you take such a good game, which only needed minor tweaks, and somehow regress? Is it a case of overthinking?

Improvements:
Career mode is more immersive.
The ability to personalize/customize.
New game modes.

Regression:
Bike/track scaling is off. It's like the bike/rider is over-sized for the environment. This creates another issue I'll touch on later.

Sounds. I know this has been beaten to death, but what the hell? It's to the point of being sickening.

AI. The AI are actually better, but you can't race them. They can truck you, run over your lifeless body, and roost on. You touch them slightly, and you go down. You have to avoid them at all cost. This is tough on such narrow tracks.

Physics. The bike seems to be more free while on the ground, it's still a dead horse in the air. I'm not talking about whips, it would be nice to scrub some of the jumps when needed.

The start. Okay, so we get a clutch, but it's basically useless. I don't understand why the developers put such little emphasis on the start. It looks like they just phoned it in.

Like I said, I gave the game one last shot last night, and I actually figured a couple of things out. The AI owns the inside line, and it's tough to utilize it. I found a way to get in there and not get taken out. You still have to be careful about running into them from behind, though. Also, I'm a little further into the career and the tracks are getting more "race-able". Ultimately, I'm pissed that I spent $50 on this. I should have waited until Steam discounted it this Summer, but oh well. Hopefully we'll see some patches in the coming months that will address these issues.

Can you tell a difference in the bikes? Does one handle better, and one more powerful than the other?
4/29/2016 7:13am
Yes, quite a bit of difference in handling and power

Did the demo come out today for xbox one or not? I haven't been able to find it in the marketplace.

Having not played the first mxgp, I am liking this one. Cornering is fun, customization is pretty neat and I think the bike and rider look way better than anything to date. I wish the scrubs were more dynamic but they aren't bad. I just hope the 450 is a lot faster, some of these jumps are impossible for me to clear on a 250f.

Clearing jumps on the 250 are definitely harder then on the 450. And the cornering is so hard for me I kept sliding out in my last video https://youtu.be/nzX1VU08O-w

No, but you can download the demo if you change your location to the UK.

I picked up the UK version of this game on Amazon for $55 on XBOX one and haven't stopped playing it since. Going from Reflex to this feels a little weird at first, but once you figure out all the little nuances of the controls, it is hard to put down. The tracks are 1:1 replicas of their counterparts and are a blast to ride. The career mode is in-depth and the MXoN mode is fun. Graphically, no other moto game comes close. This is the Forza of dirt bike games. You actually have to think about corners and how to approach them instead of railing the outside like on other MX games. On the negative side, bike sounds are awful, and the whips/scrubs could be better.

It's not perfect, but it is one of the best moto games I have played in a long time.

Keep trying to connect. I have the class set for
Mxgp and will usually find a lobby after a few tries. The lobby may crash and when that happens players usually go private and invite each other. Servers are shitty but I'm
in Texas so may just be that.
