Posted this question in the new rider section awhile back but didn't get much attention. Anyways, took a 8 year hiatus from motocross and am just diving back into now that I am done with college and off runnin. Knee braces weren't as big as they are now popularity wise, I'd be lying if I even wore my knee guards half the time. Anyways I want to buy a pair for the upcoming seAson and I know for a fact (never have worm them before) it's going to feel uncomfortable for awhile. So I wouldn't know the difference between a comfortable set and uncomfortable. Is there a certain brace most people are recommending?

I have the CTI braces, custom fitted at a bracing practice. Mine we're covered through insurance and I think they were around $3,500 for the two.

I can tell you that I don't even notice them unless my leg is forced into lateral movement. Would definitely recommend, light, comfortable, makes gripping tank easier and does their job!

I have the asterisk ultras. Get the pods ( k8?). Way more comfortable.

The big question is are your knees damaged or are you just looking for support? If your knees are injured talk to your doctor about getting fitted for custom braces. All of the braces you see in the magazines are really nothing more than a support that is not fitted exactly to your legs and knees. A custom brace fit legs like a tailored suit and are built for any issues you knee might have I.E. stability issues, upper to lower leg offsets, etc,
