So I attempted to change out the shift shaft in my rm 125. Things were going well until I actually got behinf the clutch basket haha. The first 3 photos are of a piece that fell out and I have no clue as to what it is or where it goes. It's like a 1/2" in length and hollow. If someone could give me details on what this is I would greatly appreciate it. The next pic is of of the kick starter assembly. This also completely fell out in the process. I think I have it in right but do no know where that little metal wire piece attached to the spring goes? does it sit onside of the other sprocket or do I have it in wrong? I am really hoping someone can help me out here lol. I hope all of you have agreat weekend!

It goes between the cases, and one of the bolts goes that hold the halves together runs through it, there's normally 2 of them. On the bottom picture, there is one hole right above the shift shaft, where the bushing can go.

The spring fits into the little hole on the case half that's 2 inches right below the kicker shaft. I can't tell from the picture, but the outside of the spring points toward the cases away from you while the center of the spring should be pointing toward you. Use an exploded view of the parts to get an idea of their direction and assembly order.

The hole thats right below in the middle of the other sprocket? And I can just put that bushing in that hole you mentioned? You guys are awesome here! Thank you! As soon as it all fell out I damn near cried lol. On a side note in this picture does this setup look correct? When I pulled the starter assmebly out the sprocket on the back fell out. Does it matter what position its in when I out it back on? I circled the pieces. Can I just drop it in and that's fine? Thanks all!

I will take a picture of my kickstart tomorrow but as mentioned the spring clips into the hole below the assembly on the edge of the casing! Looks like a bolt hole! The ratchet on the back of the assembly shouldn't matter where it goes but there should be a spring there also!

Also as Matt stated the other part is an alignment dowl for the cases! Should be 2 on that outer case if I remember correctly! You'll see where they go as the bolt hole is bigger

Here's a pic of my motor that shows where the spring hooks in and also you can see the alignment dowel below it! The stop on the ratchet on the back should sit in to the bolt on stop behind the assembly
