Hi,
A mate of mine has just switched bikes from a 2015 KX450F to a 2016 YZ450F. The biggest difference power wise is that it's sluggish down low to mid compared with the kawi. Has anybody done any testing and have any maps available? He is running a TI-6 tail pipe so is going to try the map run by mxa magazine in the mean time. Also does anyone know if the stock 48T rear sprocket is a major factor with this?

Cheers

Is it just the slip on? The map I tried with my T-6 slip-on is really powerful down low and screams all through the powerband, really. I also went up one tooth in the rear. I will see if I can find it. I do know it was only fuel adjustments and no ignition, as they say something a little closer to stock works better with a pipe than the map with the stock exhaust. I tried their map they used in the magazine (commonly referred to as the Preston map) and with the pipe, it made the bike super mellow and felt slow.

Put in a good map, use good oxygenated fuel, gear it 13/50 or ,51, bike will rip.
