aluminum weld on crf frame

Hey guys u have had a engine mount welded up on my 450x.. it is now together and good as it was only a slight Crack around the bolt.

I've been reading to use a protective paint over the top of the alloy weld ... does anyone have any input

Was it tig welded ? If not scrap the frame

I'dk he has done 500 conversions tho with no problems..

Oh tig weld.. I'm pressuming so cause the first place I took it do did not do it properly he only filled it in the broken bit and left hairline Crack. . New place done it a lot better had to Dremel around the bottom for motor to fit .
