The results show Zach O winning everything up until the final moto, then no placing in the top 5. Anybody from MD go? Anybody race?

Plus, I was told Danny Smith was NOT going to be racing, as in AMA AX, but he appears to be prepping for something, doesn't he? Any insider story there?

Good to see some of the other regular AX guys getting track time before the AMA AX season begins.

Been a long time since I seen Robbie Horton's name. Jim Neese still getting it done at 35 years old.

Osborn went down on the start of the last 450 moto got up and was coming through the pack fast got to about 5th and went down at the end of the whoop section and that was it for him. Not sure if he got hurt or not.

The Danny Smith that was there is not the Danny Smith that rode for Babbits last year. He's a local pro from South Carolina I believe.

Thanks for the info, Dan.

was there, saw oz fly thru the pack in 250 main, had a bad start then started picking riders off quickly to gain the win. In the 450 class, was squeezed out at start and went down dead last, got bike going and was moving thru pack again, each time thru the whoops, he was nosediving towards the last 3 or 4 whoops out of control for 2 laps then on the lao he went down the front end washed away from him near the end of whoops, he did get up OK and had trouble getting bike to fire. Did get going and just rode to finish. He was fast when he was smooth. Horton was consistent in both motos. Steve Litz's son, Cody Litz, went down in his quali. and broke tib/fib. Talked w/Steve and he stated they were looking at rods in leg surgery for Cody. Wish him a speedy recovery.

NOTE that Zach Osborne was on a yz250 2STROKE!!!

Danny Smith is a cool cat, has always had speed and has done well @ LL and other events over the years just never had real good support. He actually works for UPS as a driver during the week.

YEA. Hillbilly (Dave Albert) rode both the 30 plus and the 40 plus class. I was with him, he rode 30 plus w/bunch of young guns and still finished 4th, would easily have gotten 3rd or 2nd if he had not got squeezed out of the 1st turn. He easily led the 40 plus class and was not carrying enough speed thru one turn and dropped the bike, got restarted and passed the field and was closing in on the leader on the last lap and ended up 2nd. Said that was fun, passing those folks. Be back in Feb. for another show.

Talked with Dave at the starting gate of +40.

He looks like he has been doing a lot of riding or something because he is really lean.

Might be planning another trip top LL's.

He also said he has recently gotten DSL so maybe we will see an occasional post.
