Go to this link page below, then go to the bottom of that page and you can scroll through specifications. Scroll down in that box until you get to the YZ250F, then below and to the left you will see a link to download a PDF copy of recommended settings for different mods and conditions.

GYTR Settings for 2015 YZ250F

I should have my tuner later this week, and that PDF is where I plan to start.

Yes, 2015 YZ250F (Red and White version), right now it is stock except for the bars, grips and levers. I plan to play with the GYTR turner later this week.

Am I right in thinking that going minus on both FI and EI will make the power smoother ? Example if I was to set all 9 points at -7 my bike would be flat as a fart throughout all of the range ?

And if I go plus on both FI and EI it will make it more aggressive ?

Which has more effect EI or FI or do you have to get them to correspond with each other ?

Someone else will need to chime in on your question as I have not read up much on that topic yet. There is a video on youtube from Yamaha that goes over the settings, you might find that helpful. Just go to youtube and search GYTR Power Tuner and it will come up as a hit.

I got mine yesterday, plugged in the 3 maps from the Yamaha site and then loaded the MID range map into the bike. I am going to test it this weekend. Will let you know what I think after riding it with different maps.

BTW - I am a VET 50+ racer, so what I end up liking might be completely different from what a teenager or younger guy likes.

There's a YZF topic over at Thumper talk that likely has some info. I've been following the FX model thread over there.

Bit of a bump, But WHOA I set the settings that GYTR / Yamaha recommend and got my brother to test ( i am currently not well enough to ride ) He said the difference is insane ! We tryed all three maps and he liked 'the mid range RPM one the most. He found the smooth acceleration a little to soft and the high rpm didn't really work... So If anyone has a good high rpm setting please let me know

I tried the Mid map and liked it much better than the stock map on my 15.

I currently am running the smooth, I was looking for something with less snap/hit when grabbing the throttle. Would you guys say the mid is better than the soft at this, didn't notice much difference between stock and soft and the damn bike hits so hard off the go.

We noticed a dramatic change on the smooth map, i am running a 48t sprocket to help to take that initial snap off the bottom but it hasn't really worked.

In my opinion my brother looked a lot faster on the smooth map as the bike wasn't 'jarring' into all the bumps of you know what I mean. Usafwx what surface are you riding on ?

Ps. Markit, of you a reading this please can you post a link to the thread on thumper talk ? I damned if I can find it

This is what I am currently running, and yes it makes it the power roll on much smoother than the stock mapping. I am going to try some other mappings in the next week or two and see how they compare.

Rowlands, this one? I ran this on my 14 and I think it helped alot I can't remember. I bought the 15 thinking the smoothed it out a bit according to the reviews, but still has a bit of hit to it when you first lay on the throttle. I ride in NJ which is a soil/hard pack.

That's the baby ^^ I don't think the high RPM one works as good so I am looking for a better maps for sand and softer conditions

So you like the "mid RPM hit" better than the "Smooth acceleration" for taming down the harshness of the throttle response?

Sorry for the confusion, for taming down the throttle response my brother prefers the 'smooth aceleration ' as posted above.

But on our track we ride, for him he liked the 'mid RPM hit map ' best.

Hi,

I'm from Brazil and it's been around 4 months a got a Yz 250f 2014 stock engine. Today i read the Power Tuner Owner's manual and decided to set it up!

I saved the 3 basic maps (stock exhaust) from Yamaha website and for first i set up the "MID RPM" one based on your comments. I am going to track today and then i will let you know what i think.

Sorry about mistakes in english.
