Hopefully, our sponsorship of Thomas will generate a lot of interest for our company and we will both (amateur mx and the company) benefit from it.”

I'm not to clear how that relates to MX, or amateur MX which is an even smaller segmentation of an already small fringe sport

I had the opportunity to meet (through an automotive motor sports writer-Jeremy Shaw) the CEO of Terminal Velocity - Jim Wilson a few months ago at Buttonwillow Raceway during a vintage car event. Mr. Wilson seemed true with his actions and wanted his company to be involved in motor sports, being motorcycles, cars, etc...
T.V. have been involved with the Pacific F2000 Formula Car Series (along with a F2000 race team sponsor-DFR Racing) and is now using MX to expand it's business model to others.
Having outside-non motorcycle support is great and hopefully the sport (and Thomas Covington) can show T.V a return on their investment as a sponsor.
Thats my .02....
I'm glad they're getting some help, I just can't get my head around the marketing.
Food for thought... there are a lot of on line mail-order companies in MX. It's TV foot into the door for a soft introduction for potential future business for them?
It would be interesting too find out.
Sponsorships provided by TVP are a collaborative effort between TVP and the motocross merchant community. Processing fees paid out today by the motocross merchants (revenues to random processors) can now be redirected into sponsorships when TVP processes the transactions.
Put simply – TVP has committed to donate 100% of its net margin derived from transactional fee income we receive from motocross merchants processing with TVP.
