Thank you very much for the compliment barkhard696! I am excited about "keeping the '86 flame alive"!! It was a great year for sure, as MX was really in a major growth spurt. I so miss the days of going to the track with 300-400 riders when almost anybody could afford to do it...now your lucky to have 100 rider turnout. I will say I am more excited about this bike than I was my new 2012 CRF when I bought it! As the car boys say...."don't crush them....restore them".

Ok, I thought I would share this...finally did the "maiden voyage"! I have not rode a 2-stroke for over 12 years, and let alone a 30 year old one! The track was small, dry and slippery, but after making some adjustments to riding old iron with a wide saddle, huge gas tank, low bars and rear drum breaks....I started to really dig it! Who doesn't love the barking sound of a 250 2-stroke?? I was shocked at how hard the motor hits and pulls....and the suspension wasn't that bad either. I hope you enjoy....

Very hard to beat the stock pipe. From what I remember "back in the day" the answer pipe was gold for the 86-87. Not sure who actually made it.
The DG pipe was never the go to pipe, but st least they still make them. Not sure on the pro circuit, they were not established back them.

Thank you for your input Stan-Bells! I actually have the stock pipe...so I might throw it on to compare against the DG. If anyone out here has any riding testimonials for Pro Circuit vs. Stock....please share.
