Thanks for all the input. I picked up a new pair of white Sidi this week. I was able to buy off the shelf from my local dealer and support him.

I'd recommend Alpinestars Tech 10's. The boots are incredible and give the best ankle support out there. I have ~60 hours on mine and they still look like new and have plenty of sole left.

The Sidis have close to zero ankle support. For the Sidi fans that don't believe me, grab the toe of your booth and try to make it touch the shin portion of the boot. I can do it with one hand. How is a boot that bends that far that easily supposed to provide ankle support?
Im a Sidi fan but cased a double over the weekend with a set that had around 3 hours on them. Ill post a picture of the damage to my ankle if you'd like..

I run the 661 Flight boot. I don't know if they even make them anymore, but these have been solid for almost 5 years. Good stuff.

I can't even wear Sidis. They feel like medieval torture devices to me.

Rooster, I see you on KTM-Talk hawking those boots all the time. I was always curious where you get them all.

I have some Alpinestar Vectors, they just refuse to die. I use them mostly for Dual Sport, so they don't see as much wear and tear I guess. I got a brand new pair on standby when these finally die.

I still wear AStar Tech 8s myself. They last me just fine, but I ameasy on boots and I don't ride a lot.

Got a bunch of buddies that swear by Sidi. Never tried them myself.

For what its worth, i picked up a set of forma dominators from my LBS for a great price. The build quality is great so far, the fit is snug and secore, and i really like the buckle mechanism. Really solid boots for the price in my opinion. I like them as much as my old first gen sg10s... way more than my a stars Wink

The only issue i have had thus far is brake drag. The boots have a lip on the edge similar to the gaernes, and i find myself dragging the rear brake due to the slightly bigger footprint/toe box.

Sidi are awesome. Most comfortable in my personal opinion. I also use to ride in the vector boots! Hardcore and very long lasting at that! keep your backup pair inside or in a temperature controlled environment because the plastic will start cracking!
