looking for a new bike

so i've been deciding a new bike for 2 years.
i have a 04 rm250 a b rider im 16(been riding for 2 years) and i weigh 210lbs

i think i want a rmz450 the problem is that i wanna race with my brother when hes ready and i wanna be in the same class
he rides a 97 rm250 and is 13

im mainly wondering if ill be able to race the 250 competitively and have it good for trails too i was thinking the yz250fx or ktm350sx-f and i really want a four stroke and i've been a admit 2 stroker since i've been riding

Stick with your RM and upgrade what needs upgrading/refreshing. Take care of the top end, brakes, tranny, bearings, etc and you will be money ahead of buying a used 450. Just my opinion

Well a 4-stroke is way easier to ride, especially a 450.
