Cycle Ranch Creates South Texas Motocross Series

FLORESVILLE, Texas ­— Cycle Ranch MX is excited to announce the creation of the South Texas Championship (STC) Series, the first ever motocross series including Austin, Houston and San Antonio.

The series was designed to bring the South Texas motocross community together, and to give the riders in South Texas more opportunities to race locally. This is the first time these tracks from Austin, Houston and San Antonio have been in a race series together.

“The spring series was created to be family friendly, have large support from sponsors and give riders spirited competition. The South Texas Championship series includes arguably the best tracks in South Texas and kicks off with the Day After Race at Three Palms and closes out with the Kings of the Dirt with over $20,000 and $100,000 in contingencies at Cycle Ranch.“

The STC series will kick off at 3 Palms Action Sports Park in Conroe, TX on Sunday, April 12. Round two will take place at Murphys MX in Red Rock, TX on Sunday, April 19. The series will stay in the Austin area on Sunday, May 3 at Austin Del Valle MX Park in Del Valle, TX. Cycle Ranch MX will host the final round on Sunday, May 24. The rain date will be on Sunday, May 17.

Race fees for the series will be $35 per class for pre-entry and $40 the day of the event. The third class and on will be $20. Riders will receive five extra championship points if they pre-enter. Pre-registration will open on April 2nd at https://secure.tracksideonlineresults.com/cycleranch/.

The 450 pro-purse will be a guaranteed $1,000 for each round. For the 250A and VetA payout, there will be a 200% payout per class if there is 500 or more race entries. If there are 250-500 entries, the payout will be 150% per call. If there is fewer than 250 entries there will be a 100% payout.

Awards will be given to the top five in each class, and holeshot awards will be given to select classes.

The classes for the series include: 2- Stroke 12+, 25+ Amateur, 250A, 250cc B(Intermediate), 250cc Beginner, 250C (Novice), 30+A, 30+Amateur, 30+C/D, 35+Amateur, 30+C/D, 35+Amateur, 40+A/B, 40+C/D, 45+, 50+, 50cc Limited 4-8 (PeeWee), 51cc 4-5, 51cc 6-7, 51cc Limited 4-6 (AMA1), 51cc 4-8 Open, 51cc Limted 7-8 (AMA2), 65-85cc Beginner 7-11, 65cc 10-11, 65cc 7-11 open, 65cc 7-9, 85/150cc 12-15, 85-150cc Beginner, 85cc 9-11, 85cc 9-14 Open, Collegeboy 16-24, Girls 16 and under, Open A, Open Amateur, Open B, Open Beginner, Open C, Schoolboy 1 12-16, Supermini 12-15 and Womens 99cc+ 12+.
