Hey guy I don't know if anyone is following my build but I picked up a 03 kx250 and I'm almost done with it now but I'm not too happy with the way the front brake is set up as far as the line routing under the follow lug to the back of the caliper. My question is could I mount up a 2004 kx250 caliper so that I could run the new style braking system?

Just order the CR style front brake line from Rocky Mountain. Routes around the fork like the newer bikes. Buy 2005 KX250 fork gaurds and it mounts right up. The stock caliper works fine with the newer routing.

Would the '05 fork guards mount up to the '03 forks?

Yep, mounts right up. No problem. Just did it on mine. Smile

Does anyone know if you can mount up fork guards from the 05 and up Yamaha's on an 03 YZ/YZF?

In other words Id like to know if I can do the same thing....Im not a fan of the way you have to mount a clamp on the stock guards or I may just but lightspeed guards but odds are I can get a set of 05 + fork guards for a yz/yzf on ebay a lot cheaper.
