rmartin517, look at what I found in the garage tonight, I knew I had them somewhere, but have so much crap, could not locate them. These are the original kits from Factory Effex 2002.

The team bikes didn't actually have these ignition covers in 02. I just wanted to add a few other pieces to my liking. It's ashamed it's beginnkng to get humid here I texas and some of the bolts are beginning to have surface rust.

Ok I can see what you are talking about I am trying to adapt a pro circuit pipe with limited success I have cut the pipe at the first join and have attempted to twist slightly as I couldnt even get the pipe on as it was

Who made your pipe do you have a contact ?

They are one off. But I have put others on it. Use a cr250 mount for the bottom.

Well it's been a long time since I have posted about the build.i thought I was almost done but had other plans for it so I took it back apart and went another route. I have some put a different set of A kit that is set up for me just in case I decide to ride the bike. I have also went with more carbon fiber and basically changed all the bolts to titanium with the exception of the axles and linkages. I'm 90% done now. The wheels are being built and it will the bike will be complete. I did not expect this to ale so long. Also found the correct period rotor as well.

Excuse the steel bolt at the case guard. It's on the way lol.

Hoping you could help me out with some info, reading some of your other posts i'm thinking if anyone can it's probably you..

I want to change the rear shock on my 2003 cr125 to a crf showa, i found a chart on here that showed the stroke/length of 02-09 cr/crf shocks, and it showed the 05/6/7 crf450 to be identical in terms of stroke/length to the 03 125, i was hoping i could just bolt one on but have since heard the clevis doesn't fit the linkage knuckle, do you know if this is correct ?

Or if not, what would be a direct fit and be the best match to standard stroke/length ?

Thanks

Crf will bolt directly on. But the length is gonna change. My shock is actually crf but I had them change the length. You really gonna have to get whatever you buy serviced any way so whil they are in there is a simple fix.

Where did you find the carbon fiber mud guard and case saver?? Love this bike. I just picked up a 02 cr125 last night.

Thanks, that's the chart i was referring to, why would the length change if i put the same length/stroke shock back on, am i missing something, it shows the 03 125 as 489/135mm and the 05/6/7 crf450 as 489/135mm, if i only use an identical length shock won't it stay the same ?

Are you saying both the crf250 and crf450 clevis will fit the cr125 linkage knuckle, as i've seen people say the crf250 shock is interchangeable, but the crf450 won't due to the clevis, however you can put the crf250 clevis on the crf450 shock and then it obviously bolts on directly ( apparently ) ?

Thanks again, i'm hearing so much conflicting info i'm not really sure what to do, my plan was get an 05/6/7 crf450 shock but i'm worried it won't fit on the linkage knuckle.

Those will work. The clevis is fine as well. Lot of people don't now either but the 09-12 shock will work as well it's just a different length.

Thanks a lot buddy, i appreciate the help, gonna stick with the original plan and get the 05/6/7 crf450 shock then.

And thanks for the 9-12 info also, that's good to know as if i'm ever in a position to buy a-kit it will open up my second-hand choices considerably.

Much appreciated.

When a team or person gets sponsorship from renthal that sticker is usually on the part. It was on the sprocket so I thought it looked good on there as the bike will never be ridden.

It's pretty much my favorite out of everything I've had. I have considered doing a graphics swap to the retro Steve Lamson kit but it just wouldn't be right. Lol
