I don't see it that way. And you guys talk about the 18 different GP winners, but what does that even matter. Just because someone won a race years ago doesn't mean they are going to be battling with RV. More former race winner doesn't always indicate a super stacked field. In reality there are four guys who can win a race outright and another four or so who can win if they get lucky and or if the other guys crash/get injured. I predict RV is going to be able to cut through the pack like he always has
It matters because a lot of the guys that have won GP's or been on the podium are still pretty young and are still capable of moto wins and podiums. If you're racing somewhere like Arco Di Trento or Uddevalla for example, which are really slick and pretty narrow, it's really hard to pass, especially when you're up against that many top guys. If you concede that much track position at the start of the moto, the guy at the front is gonna be gone.

Name the 18 different motor winners.
There only 5 or 6 Gp guys that RV will have some trouble passing, theRest will be fairly easy(insept maybe on sand tracks),

I think there will be a couple of tracks where RV finds it a lot more difficult to pass than anywhere in America. Like I said places like Arco it's pretty narrow, rocky and slick. Overtaking is very difficult, it's not impossible to pull through to a top 5 or 3, but on some tracks if you give up that much track position the leader is going to be gone.

Having said that, as I said in my original post, we've also seen this season in SX that guys are finding it difficult to pull through in the 450 class after getting a bad start because there's that many top guys in it, there is no-one that is easy to pass.

No one is coming through the pack in SX because the only two guys that can do it are either suspended or racing the GP's.

You serious? no one can rip through the pack like James and RV can.

Bubba and RV have been the only guys in the last few years that have been able to start outta the top ten and slice there way to the top 3 before you know it.

Roczen, Canard, and Tomac have all made runs from the back of pack to the front this year.

Doesn't mean that they are the only guys now. I think they'd have a real hard time doing the same this season

Tomacs 7th to 3rd, Treys 17th to 9th, and Roczens 22nd to 16th doesn't compare to what Bubba and RV can do

Considering Roczen was down for a good minute before getting back on the bike I'd say that's pretty impressive. It was a few years ago but remember Dungey's run at southwick? I'd say he proved to be pretty good at cutting through the pack.
