88 CR250 Frame Guards

These works connection frame guards are listed for an 89 CR250 but it doesn't say it fits an 88 model. Since the 88 and 89 frame is listed with the same part number, does anyone know why it won't work on an 88? See link below.

Those should work for an '88 but the reality is they take a little rubber mallet persuading even on the '89. They really are for the CR500 which has slight differences.

Thanks Bark! I'm not sure if I want to take the chance of them not fitting. Are there any more options for frame guards on the 88 CR250?

Hey mate. I got a mate that has 89 works connection frame guards. If you are happy to wait a couple of days or so I should be able to put em on my 88 CR250 to see if they fit.

Hey Brett

The left hand side fits perfectly but the right hand side 2 out of 3 bolts fit And it will require a bit or bending to fit the frame better. It's still really secure with only 2 bolts. I'm gonna order a set for myself, they look pretty good.

I got my frame guards in last week and fit them on the bike this past Saturday. They fit just like yours Bono.
