Anyone have a SMALL pump track?

Don't have one but wanted to do one in the woods behind my house and start my 3 yr old out on it. Interesting topic and I too would be interested in whether others have these and the logistics. They're fun, that's for sure.

Here's a few pics of mine... I juss moved in under a year ago and the backyard actually had a garden of different style plants.. I that it be cool to keep some plants and try an keep it somewhat good looking.. I dug holes like a set of whoops and a berm an tried it out, totally winged it.. Bout 5 hours of work with my brother helping.. Never built a pump track before so the first pic is our first day, I can ride bmx decent, I got thru with a few passes an it packed in better. The next day we built the rest of track.. It's a lot of work but it was so worth it.. Is great for training or juss havin fun.. My nephew loves it and he rides too an helped him a lot he can get around pretty good now. We keep building an adding more bigger burns, we did a cross section to switch up and juss working it.. When we started we had bout 11 sec times and we've dropped too a high 7, bigger berms helped an smooth rollers.. Once you ride, you'll feel the ruff spots, fill it, rake it, wet it.. I tapered in between rollers into middle for drainage an I dug bout 1 ft holes and some small trench around inside an filled it with rocks an peastone. When it pours out I juss kinda keep an eye on what's flowing and work what isn't.. Seems to work great I've never had a day I couldn't ride cuz it was wet.. Water will be your best friend and there's no packing as good as just riding the bike on it.. Have fun! Post pics if you finish. Good luck

No problem, heres a recent one bout a few weeks back.. it was right after i did the peastone, def gave the track a better look.. I always read posts but never chime in.. But this was right up my alley..

- other option for us now, is lots of local trails and a free track located about 6 mi away

Do you have any issues with drainage? It looks like some spots go below grade.. Just wondering if water pools or if you were able to incorporate something to get it to drain out one of the sides.
