I saw the new rules passed by the AMA calls for sound testing at amateur events so that they meet the 94db limit. If I recall correctly, there at one time was a sound limit in place for amateurs. Back when I started racing in the early 70's, they used to perform sound tests at tech inspection. Does anyone know what the old limit was and when/why it went away?
I would like to see 500-700 bikes go thru tech and sound check when we have races here. Im sure that would go quick and smooth. NOT
What needs to happen is when people complain about the noise, tell them to go shit in their hat!!!

I'm all for having sound limits. As long as everyone is playing by the same rules, there shouldn't be any complaints. Why wait until someone complains about the noise before doing something about it.
I dont know how to fix it but i guess they have started so thats a step in the right direction.
I didn't realize they were running the drag strip on week nights too.
Just doesnt make sense to me how and who gets the sounds rules slapped on them.
Its all a croc of shit. Sound testing is a TOTAL JOKE!!
Car races are loud, so are bikes, football games, baseball games, concerts, etc...
Like i said before when people complain the authorities need to tell them to go shit in a hat!!
