Over at Pinkbike i see a few Pastrana pics and vids from last weeks Crankworks.. Anybody in the know know shit about this??, always dreamed of sitting down on the lift next to one of my moto heros.

Glad to see he has the brains to check out the DH scene, love Travis

Hahaha Travis rules.

Not many moto fans know but years ago Doug Henry showed up at Mt. Snow national DH race in Vermont and KILLED the expert class. He was also running pedals with toe clips (not clip ins, the little bucket thing your shoes slide in).

I Think moto-folks have a natural ability to kick-ass at DH, would not surprise me to see more x-racers or even current ones give it a try.

I just got into the sport this year, I'm riding a Giant Reign SX...More of a free ride bike than pure DH, but I'm having a blast.....

I heard he broke his collarbone. I was watching dual slalom and he was supposed to be up but they he wasnt and they said he broke his collarbone. Ya he was there all week as far as i know. Did a couple runs during the whip off too i think. Ronnie renner was there too. Saw his sweet hotwheels ambulance looking vehicle

Renner has been into downhill for some time his son has a factory ride with khs as well. Travis and some of the nitro crew were invited to crankworks by giant USA who hooked them up with giant glorys etc. in usual travis style he tried to flip but crashed I think one of the other guys made it though. Unsure on the collar bone injury no news I've seen of that anywhere. I could easily see travis having a go at dh racing let's face it he's got the skills . The pic posted above isn't travis he was wearing black White tld gear.

I wouldnt say kick ass at dh. The race he was on was the air dh which is a trail made up of jumps and berms. Theres one technical spot at the bottom for about 10-20 seconds and thats it. Still impressive though

I agree could they race competently yes definitely would they kick everyone's ass I don't think so . The men's pro dh is serious stuff these days they are top athletes I'm not saying that a moto rider couldn't win at dh but it would take some adapting and different training.

We don't have down hills here. I did just buy a new Trek EX8 29 today.
