Look out for Cole Barbieri....he missed Loretta's in the B class this year with a broken leg......but should be good to go for monster cup.

Nothing against Cole, I do not even know who he is. But, in the past 2 years he was only able to qualify in Schoolboy 1. At regionals he finished 18th and 21st in 250B (so I would have to argue that he 'missed LL in the B class) and last year he was 12th in SB1. I don't see how he was selected based on those results.
Actually, he broke his femur at regionals.........He has beat most of the top kids at one time or another, and is an excellent supercross rider. I hear what your saying, but the kid has alot that hasn't been seen yet.

By the way, i dont think you were attacking, or trying to stir anything up. All good, you were just asking a question.Smile

Thanks Travis- I honestly didn't want any names in this at all. In all actuality, this question is years old. The last 2 years there have been riders that have won LL titles and didn't get invited, while others with less than stellar results were selected. Was always just curious as to why that was.

BTW- Hope Cole does great, a femur break is a tough injury to bounce back from.

There could be a direct correlation between the rider picked and the parents bank account.

That makes perfect sense since he was consistently in the front of 2 of the 4 classes (don't think I have ever seen a 9-11 year old invited) that they chose from. But, the Amatuer All-stars seems like a mix of 250A, 450A, 250B/250 B Limited, 450B/ 450B Limited, Schoolboy 1/ 2, CollegeBoy, 2-stroke, That is alot more of a pool to chose from

My guess,
It's who you know,
Gets you in the show.

They are not picked by how much money the parents have.

Not sure who saw the 2014 All Star list, and why would it be on MXSPORTS?

Cole was not invited (but maybe he should have been).

More then three guys beat Aaron heads up this year (although he is very good and could win).

Most of that class is riders returning from either the Supermini (moving up) or the All Star class in past years.

I would not say its a "who you know, gets you in the show", more like "how fast you go, gets you in the show" (it may help if you know somebody, but if you cant ride the track, you will not get invited).

Any one of the riders invited could win. Two riders invited back were on the podium in that class last year (Plessinger was hurt and did not attend). If Aaron wins he will have to beat some pretty solid guys, at least 4 of them being one of the "three" that beat him heads up this year.

It should be another great race, see you there!

It has nothing to do with how much money their parents have.....you are correct. But he is going.....so I'm not sure what list you are looking at.
