And the weather, having watched the last race , i can tell you that the rain at the track was nothing compared to what hit the car park a mile away , we were soaked to the skin in under 15 seconds, and the visibilty was so bad , you couldnt see 50 metres ... scariest rain i ever saw.. the TV guys would have gone down if that had hit properly..
Great weekend , awesome racing
Very true, the same thing occurred to me at that moment too.
Have to disagree with some of the comments toward the coverage being poor, though admittedly I'm clearly in the minority here. Personally I think it's awesome. I do think the riders look a touch slower in the GP coverage for some reason - though this is probably at least in part due to the style of tracks in general, but it's not something that overly stands out to me. I also love Malin's and Wheeler's commentary. Each to their own of course.
EDIT: PhilG-Sounds crazy with the weather.
Motocross83-I agree with you on the commentators. I actually like Malin better now that Wheeler is in the booth since I think Adam's style complements/balances Malin's.

You would think with all dixons resources/ knowledge that he would be able to get the bike sorted- its been nearly a full season now! maybe needs to hire some new mechanics? It makes it look even worse when you see martin, pourcel, webb in america on the same base bike all doing really well and having no issues all year
very strange situation- especially with dixon being such a well respected team owner, he has always had the reputation as having one of the best bikes in the gp paddock
it might even cost anstie his place in the des nations team? he's obviously fast enough- on this seasons results you would have to go with anstie and simpson, with either searle or wilson as the 3rd member. But would you risk taking anstie given all the mechanical problems they've had all year? It would be heartbraking for us if we lost out on a good result through a mechanical problem.
Tough decision!
They run it very hard , and very high revving , and as a result , things are giving up , and that is what they are dialling out ... at Lommel it was a sensor/ wiring issue that gave them the problems between races, the bike is very different to what everyone else is doing.

Van Horbeek before Race 2 nursing a very sore eye
even more strange that cosworth (another very well respected company for tuning/ building engines) are involved and still can't sort it out. Motocross bikes are very basic compared to formula one engines!
You would think that if they are trying to do something so much different to everyone else and its not working- they might try to run something similar to the american bikes (at least for now) - then do all the testing/ development on the 'radically different' bike they want to run, in the off season. The base bike is obviously very good - so why not run something a little more close to that?
must be very frustrating for max and the team.
"...but then Simpson and Paulin started to jump the quad and I looked at it and believed it was quite easy, so I went for it also. Yeah…it was further than I thought! I cased it quite badly and smashed my face on the handlebar. My eye was bleeding a lot and I wasn't feeling so well. I wasn’t sure about the second moto but we are racers, not football players so I went for it. I had an awesome start but I started bleeding again and it was running into the goggles so I had to dump them, it was ‘game over’ then. A shame but I’m having an awesome season and we are close to second in the championship.”

I know its got a lot of good stuff in it , i also know that once they get it sorted, nothing will touch it , as was the case with the old bikes.
