We are headed off to Kona Hawaii tomorrow afternoon for the Ironman World Championships being held next Saturday the 11th. Ricky has been training his butt off since last November for this, being coached by 2000 Ironman Champion David Bailey.
Ricky's goal is to finish the 140 mile race, but he's a competitor so well see how it goes.
There will be real time scoring and a live webcast next saturday on www.Ironman.com Ricky will be in the Physically Challenged /Handcycle class and he'll be running #824, how cool is that?
1800 people will start the 2.4 mile swim at 7:00am followed by a 112 mile bike and a 26 mile push in a racing chair, he's hoping to finish inside the 12 hour mark.
