MDK sent Wil a 250 and he bought a 450 on his own. The team had 132 graphics in stock so they sent those to him to race with this weekend.

Those pics are illusions. The fence is at least 20-30 feet from the edge of the track, which is cut down at that point below the grade of the fence at least 2-3 feet. (Look at how below grade the outside rider is.) It's the righty portion of a left-right chicane off the start. You'd have to have to run 90deg to the flow of the track, jump a vertical berm, and cross a bunch of grass to get there.

IOW, you'd pretty much have to insist on hitting it, to actually hit it.

Tossing just one old car tire, on the grass edge, would have solved what looks like cutting inside the intended racing surfaceUnsure

They wouldn't have gotten away with it at my track!Tongue

Well instead of old car tires the track owner told me to stand there to block people from cutting, I got scared and ran. hahahahha. But ya everywhere else at the track they do have tires, but of course some lines went inside the tires trying to find the smooth lines.

Believe me, those two (Wil and the other guy) had to go around a bunch of baled hay and jump a couple of foot square edged cut to get up there. It's not a natural line at all. But, Wil knows the track and when you're mired late-pack on the start, I guess temptation takes over. You'll notice no one else standing over there.

That was the lites. 30 or so in the gate. You shoulda seen the big bike class. 56 coming through there! Carnage.

Big purses make racers do funny things! Promoters need braver (or larger) photogs to "hold the line" and prevent cutting.Laughing

Great photo story. Thanks for sharing. I want to ride that track before I retire. Maybe this winter I can justify driving down there, from the frozen North.

Texas Pro Challenge at Swan MX last weekend. It's an annual event in the fall after the MXDN and before the U.S. Open.
