Sticky clutch cable

I have a 2013 crf250r with the stock clutch cable on it and i am having problems with the cable binding. I have lubed the cable from the lever down but i believe the issue is down by the bracket on the motor. Has any one else had this problem and is there a way to lube the cable more or is it time to get a new cable?

the 2013 250 comes with a plastic sleeve on the inside of the cable. it breaks down and makes it sticky.
get yourself the 450 cable from the 2009-2012 model. it comes without the plastic inside.
