Thanks.

It's funny how Stewart had to wait a year for Kawi to get with the program and come out with a 450 for him, and now Kawi has a EFI 450 and James is leaving to go to the only bike that does not have EFI. Just a general statement, but he seems to always be on a team that is 1 step behind in terms of technology.

Not that the new bikes aren't going to be good, but I haven't seen any accounts where someone thinks the EFI is a clear advantage over the FCR carbs.

Maybe someone will take the EFI guts out of one of these bikes, put a carb on, save pounds, and look like genius.

It'll be even funnier when he beats all those EFI bikes with a freaking carb!

EFI is not a deal breaker or a big time advantage especially at the professional level. No one has better jetting at each round than a factory rider plus the power delivery from fuel injection doesn't match a carb's yet. Linear isn't always what is wanted.

Without a doubt EFI is the next thing for 450s but don't expect it on a 250 anytime in the near future.

According to TWMX the top Yamaha Japan Mxer had EFI taken out of his YZF last year.
