Today's "biggest point drop in history" for the Dow, barely made the top ten percentage wise.

At 6.98% loss in a single day.......it's the 10th largest one day loss percentage wise.

Not even a pimple on the ass of 1987,
We had the 2nd biggest loss in history at 22.61 on October 19th, and the 9th biggest loss on October 26th of 8.04%. That's some major change in a week.

And it ain't even October yet. The smart money says we'll bottom this bitch in the next month, regardless of any bail out plan. Come the first week of November, we'll have some serious rallies.....which will be attributed (incorrectly) to the election of the next president.

I'm guessing Dow between 8500 and 9000 by Oct 31st...........

true, but you have a LOT more players in the market. Everything thinks they are going to make a buck on this.

Gonna be some long faces when all these day traders lose their ass over the next 6 months.

I have a friend that bought $23,000 worth of AIG at $3.08 last week. I'm going to have to ask him how he's feeling about that one tomarrow.
Me, I lost $3900 today and $16,000 last month on mutual funds. How are some of you fairing?

My monthly premium payment to aig is bigger than your friends investment. That sucker better cut me in on his windfall.

It's a good thing I didn't have much in my 401K plan, I didn't lose much. I am going to be working a long time from now before I need to worry about retirement. Is it a safe bet to put my 401K in a couple money market accounts?

Making 40% each week on forex trading...stocks are dying...I'll tell you when they bottom. In this crash many stocks will disapear. Look at the 'cant fail' banks, gone!

During the crash of '29 there were many intra day rallies, some huge. This thing isnt dead and wont die for a long time. If you want to make dough on the bounces, go for it.
