I'm looking to get into dirt biking and would mostly stay on trails, but I have thoughts of making the bike street legal in the future. I was just wondering what would be the best size bike for me to get? I am 5'11" 200 lbs.

A CRF250X or Yamaha WR250 would be decent bikes for you to start on. They aren't overly powerful, but definitely enough to get the job done.

Another good option would be a DR400 if you can find one on craigslist or something

Euro bikes like husaberg or husquvarna are the easiest to get plated( at least in Ore.) just bring the title to dmv, no inspection or anything.

A 250 or 400 would be a good start with one of those bikes.

Here's some photos of plated bikes around here.

But don't forget, the bigger and heavier the bike, the harder it is to lift over logs and long days of tech trail riding.

Thank you guys for your responses. I think I am going to go with a husquvarna 250 simply because it's the cheapest one I can find right now and is in good condition.
