I have a 13 kxf250 with a few hours on it. Mods so far: PC Camshafts+valvesprings, PC Pipe, Get ECU(+500RPM), ported head, Triga throttle body insert. I know if i want to keep the engine in one piece i will need to replace the stock piston&Rod.
The plan was to use a PC piston+carillo rod.

When looking for parts i came across the Cp-Carillo platinum kit which uses a slightly longer rod. Since i'm replacing the stock piston+rod anyway i thought this kit might be interesting for me.
I don't know anyone who is running this kit and i can't really find a good review on the internet either. The kxf 250 race build that was on vital used a kit but i never heard anything about how the kit changed performance.

i really would like to know if there are any performance gains when using this kit and if the kit is worth the extra money.

Hope somebody can help.

Thanks in advance!

you wouldve been better off with some custom ground cams from web cams, over size valves, bigger coated buckets and shorteneed guides, but with that being said, the platinum kit is awesome, it only really shines when you have enough cam to let it work though. durability will be improved as the carillo rods are bulletproof and CP pistons are as good as they come. make sure you check your valve to piston clearances before final torquing.

Of course there are always better options than the simple bolt on mods i have done. but getting custom cams etc is pretty difficult here in Europe. If you can find someone who does make custom cams you pay a shitload of money for them. Also i got a really, really got deal on the parts which i bought slightly used. I also don't like to buy parts like cams in the US because it takes forever to get them to europe and through customs.

Thank you for the reply!

@ML512 i look forward to the final write-up!
