RV is one race away from it being a tight championship battle.... JS, Dungey & Roczen have all had their bad races with 0 points. You can bet RV's #1 priority is finishing every race, getting decent points & hopefully some wins along the way. He will race hard, but not take chances. If JS pulls out a quad nobody else has done, RV will be content letting him have it.

they still don't know what was the problem last week. it may be more serious then we are led to believe.

Or maybe it was not as bad as we were led to believe! Whistling
They've already ruled out food poisoning. Probably just bad gas!

Go watch Stewart's GoPro video from last weekend. I used to think I wanted to do that for a living. After watching that one? No way.
I used to think I wanted to do this for a living. After watching that one? No way.

That's probably what Dungey said after watching James huck that triple on the first lap. [bulgey-eyed face][winky face]

Amazing how many calculations he made before sending it over that thing. [dizzy face]

Or...amazing how many calculations I hope he made before sending it over that thing. [incredulous face][sly face][wink face]

Quick show of hands -- anyone else think RV would've won Toronto if he hadn't been sick?

(Given his 3rd/4th pace start, or course)

I feel sort of alone on this one, even among RV fans...

Edit: I'll say COULD have won.

Def would have done better with at least some practice but imo would have come down to who had the better start him or JS7.

Dude c'mon, there's no way RV could have won that night. James amazing Toronto race was so fast that he logged his fastest lap hugely by hundred's of a second on BamBam's and ran fastest average by an insurmountable half a second! RV could never do that...

... oh wait

Nope, because he would have been to inconsistent through the rhythm lane(quad), he would not have pulled the triple triple, and he would not have the wheel tap thingy down like James did. Toronto was just too technical of a track for RV!Blink

Could be a chronic issue. Dormant appendicitis just waiting to burst...inflamed last week. Who knows but I think the front left wheel just fell off...the three others aren't too far behind.

Barcia wasn't doing the 3-3, and didn't seem to have a fucking clue about how to get through the rhythm section, and we know he was flying the first half of the race.

The only place RV would've been giving up huge time was if he wasn't willing to do the 3-2 after the finish line all 20 laps, and to keep from being humiliated by James surely he would've...

With his start vs Stewarts start I would say he could have won. I do not think RV's times would have dropped off as badly as Barcia did by making so many mistakes every lap through the rhythm section.

^ yap.

I know we think he doesn't want to push it, but come on -- the dude is Ryan Villopoto. I don't think he would've matched laptimes, necessarily, but he didn't really need to.

I think it would've been like A3 for him: Stick close to the two hot shots out front and wait for mistakes. The difference being that this time they would make mistakes.

Move into the lead on lap 11 when Barcia starts giving up seconds a lap...

Sail off...

Now if Stewart could've picked up on the line Brayton was doing in the 3-2 after the finish line -- look out!

It was Stewart who was doing 3-2. Brayton was doing 2-3 but he was kind of wheeltapping that wall.

I know, I know. I just thought folks could I.D. it in their minds better as 3-2. If I'd said 2-3 someone would've said "What are you talking about? JS was going 3-2 and it was way faster!"

He had to've seen JB do it while he was behind him. He shoulda picked it up! (Unless of course he was focusing on his own deal. With as much speed as he carried into that section, not looking around at others seems wise.)

James probably entered the 180 after that section and thought Wait a sec-- why didn't I gain on him if he went 2-3?

seattle could be interesting this year. the race is a week earlier this year and weather is always sketchy at best. this week it was 69 and sunny on monday and rain the rest. weve been lucky the last 5 years and were due for a mudder. not saying it will happen but weve had record rain this march after one of the driest winters ever. one thing for sure a mudder here could change things up a ton.
I'd bet that, mudder or not, the usual guys will finish in their usual places for the most part. The cream usually rises...

OP I never knew he had been away, all he had was a stomach upset ffs if they don't tell the truth thats all it was.

According to the fans and uncle he has been in Championship mode all this series just more so when he doesn't win.

I would just love to see another great race like last week this year has been so full of highlights.
