2010 KTM 150 SX?

My kid is interested in one, but I know nothing about them.
Anyone have any expierence with them? Pros-cons?

That chassis was the 08,09,10 chassis. One of my personal favorites. The suspension on the 10 was the best setup for those. Call me crazy but I still like the PDS suspension. Its a small bore 2 stroke so if it has to have top ends often, but they can be done in about 45 minutes. They have be one of the easiest bikes in the world to work on. Resale on KTM's is above average.

Thanks for the input. That's the kind of stuff I need to know.
Been dealing with tiddlers since the 70's so I get the top end deal.
I just wondered about their reliability, frames and suspension... Thanks again.

No prob. I won a lot of races on an 09 300. I still miss that bike. Warning, mounting shroud decals with all those little holes can be very frustrating.

Hahaha... If he wants pretty new graphics, he can do all of that. I'm the mechanic, not the "Fluffer".

Lol..well tell him to take an x-acto knife and cut the backing off around all those holes before trying to mount them. Makes lining things up easier.

We've had our 2010 150SX since new. Rock solid everywhere. This winter we went through everything, full FC suspension, FMF Factory Fatty, New plastic, etc. No need to purchase newer model as this one is just as good maybe better actually. Sold/purchased other bikes since then but always kept the 150. Solid choice for sure! Good luck!

Remember there's no linkage in the rear. So it has a different feel, and is really finicky to set up. But the bike is a rocket!!!!

Have an 09, had a YZ144 '03 and YZ125 before that. YZ feel was a bit more plush and predictable cornering, but not as stable at speed. KTM seems to push a bit more, but is light years better than the YZ 144 motor wise. Enjoyed both bikes but the KTM has been more reliable..

Can't go wrong. Buy it.
