Let's hear some good places....

We both scuba dive. Want an adult only kinda place. And all inclusive.

I'm doing a huge house remodel, so I don't want to spend a shit-ton on the HM.

I'm in the same boat, august wedding this year and I doubt I'll be able to get time off from my new job starting in February . We talked about going to Maine or Montana so far.

How much are you looking to spend (range) and what do you like to do?

With the way things are in Mexico nowadays you might like the security of an Island.

Kakslauttanen Hotel and Igloo Village in Finland is pretty neat.
Show her this place http://www.kakslauttanen.fi
No scuba diving but they have horse & atv/enduro safaris and a few other things.

My son got robbed there and after tackling the guy and trying to retrieve his money, the cops came. Told my son he's going to jail for starting a fight, but he could pay a fine and be on his way.

Just my .02.

Maybe take a cruise line? Wife and I did that for our HM many years ago. Get the snorkeling, diving, jetskis and all packed into 5 or 7 days.....

Surely you can find good deals on an adults only cruise and it is mostly inclusive save for the liquor bill and excursions.

Whats the plan there? Glacier National Park or Lobsters?

I'd hop a plane to Maui. It's all inclusive, the whole damn island! Drive to the top of Haleakela and enjoy a bottle of wine.
Then try to make it down without launching off the side. Take a early morning helicopter tour around the island, leave the airport and stop off at Mamma's fish house and make reservations for later that evening. Then head up the Hana Highway for the day and enjoy some seriously f'n awesome seafood when you get back to Mamma's. The view ain't bad either. Don't know about diving, but snorkeling the Molokini crater and a few other areas was a fun outing.

Don't bother with the Four Seasons resort as their prime ocean view suite, the proposed high point of our three island 25th anniversary trip ended up being tucked away in the back corner of the courtyard. F' them. Only thing that stood out to us there was how nice and courteous the parking valets were.

Thanks for all the info, fellas.... I was thinking about Hawaii too.

If it weren't for all the Mexicans, Mexico would be perfect. lol

We stayed at an iberostar just south of playa del carmen for our honeymoon and I highly recommend it. Not sure I understand the comment about all the Mexicans . I have always found them to be extremely friendly- workers and vacationers- but most of the tourists in Mexico seem to be Canadians...

Here is a pic of a motox track right off the hwy coming into the city of playa del carmen, made the taxi driver stop so I could snap a pic:

If I knew then what I know now we would have each gone to different places for our honeymoon. That's how we do our vacations now. Smile

We went to Couples Sans Souci in Jamaica in October and it was everything it's said to be. Adults only, all-inclusive (tipping is not allowed on the resort), great food and the cost was similar if not less than most others. We didn't dive, but it is included. The site, www.couples.com has a forum and will pretty much answer all questions.

It was a joke... The times I've been to Mexico, the workers and locals have been amazingly nice and helpful. Much different than the ones that I encounter in the US on a day to day basis.

You have problems with Mexicans here? Weird....I've found them the hardest working, most productive and motivated people in general.

Oh, take a look at Taiwan, if you haven't been there (I know you've been to China, but Taiwan is significantly different). Beautiful island, wonderful weather (spring and fall), you'll have tons to do, and it's worlds apart from the typical beach/ocean thing. A completely different experience. If you seriously consider it, let me know. I have a bunch of friends there that would be more than happy to party with you guys and show you around.

I saw that track when I was there. The taxi driver said that you can rent a bike to ride it as well.

The people are nice, but the cops do run those scams. It happened to a couple of my boys when we were in Cancun earlier last year. If you keep your nose clean you should be fine.
