I don't think RD will be considered a contestant for the championship just because he isn't aggressive enough.

He is more of a title contender than a win contender IMO
I don't think you can be a title contender without being a contender for wins. If he's consistently on the podium then he is a win contender.

RC in his mad little leprechaun mode would still kick all their asses.

There's no way in hell bud, RC never straight up beat JS7 in SX and RV dominates JS7. Simple math BRO.

Ive only seen RV and JS race straight up a couple of times when both were healthy/ uninjured. I would never say one dominates the other. JS in his prime would handle RV though, so that makes RC even better than RV. RV bandwagoners forget how much older and how much longer Stewart has been racing pro.

Don't be a Debbie Downer man.

It's still a little early to say it's going to be more of the same. 2 races in and 2 different winners. Hell the podium has been very different both rounds with only Dungey making the podium in both.

I know where you're coming from though. RV looks like he's going to repeat 2013. He had a rough A1, then he came back and dominated the rest of the season. I'm just staying hopeful at this point. I still think Dungey, Barcia, Milsaps and Canard (when they get back) and hopefully Brayton can steal a win. Roczen should get another one and hopefully Stewart and Reed can get up there. Also Tomac should be back. He actually got a good start at A1. Maybe he got those figured out.

It's tough to bet against RV in any given race though. I think we have a better chance this season than in past seasons.

Laughing No Debbie Downer here, I actually enjoy the races. Just funny to listen to everyone get so amped up about the "perfect storm" each and every year. Of course every year has brought numerous injuries in pre season testing and training. Then A1 turns out just about opposite of what everyone predicted.
Yeah I see the same thing you see. Just thought I'd raz you a bit. I do like our odds so far this season more than other seasons. There have generally been 3 or 4 guys who could steal a win here and there. Seems there are more this year than other years. One year I would love to see a 3 or 4 way tie going into Las Vegas. Could you imagine the aggression we'd see even out of Dungey. I don't know if I'd be able to sit down for that whole race.

That's going to be interesting to watch Roczen ride around Barcia.

Bam bam hasn't really gone bam bam on anyone lately. He's tapped front tires but he hasn't put his bike into anyone that I've seen. Whoever has the inside of the corner will win that battle.

I'm just happy that we're getting one of the old school rivalries going. CR and JS have come to an agreement it appears. Like you though, I do hope we see them being aggressive while maintaining race pace.

A buddy of mine bets me a margarita every race. I always pick Dungey to win. Can't even count the number of margs I've lost! Still pick Dungey though. Fortunately, this year RV and Stew have crashed out and although Dungey hasn't won at least I didn't lose! That damn consistency has to pay off eventually. I'm picking Dungey again, next round....lol

You live in Texas by chance? We have a mexican restaurant here called Joe T Garcia's. They make one strong and incredible margarita. They sell them individually or bring you out a pitcher on the rocks. Holy crap, on two separate occasions, I've made an idiot out of myself on their margaritas. I always go thinking I'll only have one margarita but it always turns into a pitcher. They're rumored to have everclear in them but you'll get people arguing that they don't. They're strong whatever is in them.

In my circle of riding buddies, I always pick RD and it physically hurts to watch RV run him high in a corner and walk from him. And it's not like RV changes the way he passes RD ever. He ALWAYS cuts down on the inside of RD and Dungey just lets him take it. You can just see it coming every time! You want to grab Dungey's handlebars and steer him to where he blocks RV's line.

was going to say that same thing. i feel like to win the title this year you are going to win at least 3 races. i was hopping RD would come out this year swinging but after last weeks race, he let me down and i just dont see it in him. he will win a race this year but its going to be because of others mistakes or get the hole shot and have a pile up in first turn.
