Yeah, he won the championship. They only dropped FMF because FMF came out with their own (failed) energy drink. So, the brand was then a conflicting sponsor with Monster. They debadged the exhaust the last couple races of the year, and won the championship... and then switched back to PC.

I'm curious, will FMF be paying the team to use their pipes, giving them to them for free, or even making the team pay for them at a discounted rate?

I read an interview by the head guy at Akrapovic saying that they never pay any team to use their stuff. Just wondering what other manufacturers do?

They all pay. including Akro.
Race and practice pipes are not developed, manufactured, shipped and maintained for nothing.
They all pay. If any money is thrown in its nothing compared to the technical and resource commitment to supplying a top multi rider team.
Most big teams will not compromise their setup

The FMF pipe is making more power top & bottom than the PC pipe and the TLD team is very happy with the first of two pipes that FMF has made for them. FMF is also promising more power within the next month. TLD switched solely on the fact that FMF is a better pipe!

Okay, whys your point? I was talking about Kawasaki in that reference, not Troy Lee... Not all teams with energy drink sponsors dropped FMF when they came out with a drink, but Kawi did... FMF's drink failed before anyone even knew what happened, so I'm pretty sure it's a non issue now anyway

What are you the accountant? OK, so they give teams a budget to spend on their stuff. Is that better for you? Sort of like paying.
