Anodizing

Is anodizing dirt bike rims effective? Is it just as good as the top brands colored rims? I'm thinking about doing it because there is a local shop in my area that does it and I want black rims and red hubs without paying a lot of money cuz I'm also ordering a full fmf exhaust system so I can't spend too much on new rims I'd rather anodize them.

Yes very & I've done it plenty of times with great success. Prep is the key to a great finish with rims or any part that you are having anodized. If you strip the rim's clear anodizing off with oven cleaner & then polish it nice & shiny the end result with be a nice shiny/glossy finish.
