One of our local sites is shutting down. He is over MX and moving on so this leaves a lot of people around here with one less site to check on local info on tracks, riders and such.

I have an idea for a name that I like but am open to suggestions. I am mainly going to supply information for the south states, GA, AL, NC, SC TN and FL.

Also, I am trying to read up on creating a site and obtaining a domain name and host. Anyone with info on this to hlp out? Guyb? I guess I need a host that would kill me on price. I figure the site will have around 1500 registared users after a year or two so I am not sure how much bandwith or whatever, I will need for that size. So, any ideas?

I've used them on a few things with great success...

Tiki is a great guy with information on that stuff too.

I notice you cover the GA area. Is there any way possible you could take on a member named Steve Chalmers? He's a great guy and needs a home.

You can probably get a few ideas of things to do and not do from a similar site here: http://www.southeastmx.com/

Anyone know anything about this site?

http://createasite.biz/

I wont to be sure I can take my site name with me and am the owner of the site if I choose to leave whatever host I go with. I see some places say they own the name.

I use dot5hosting. Not expensive, decent plans, good service. Check 'em out.
