Cairoli222's look in the new MXGP Official MX Video Game out 2014

Edited Date/Time 9/30/2013 7:29pm
Since not many go to the gaming forum I thought would post here. MX gaming needs all the support we can get as this is the one and only company with the balls to make a MX console game. AC tore it up in Germany. So here he is in video game style. His KTM looks perfect!

Looks like Milestone listened to the fans and are going the simulation route like their other racing titles. Time will tell but real replica tracks is a perfect start. Great!

Here's the official MXGP video game web sites.

YES!!!!! I actually thought MUD did almost everything right with the exception of it just being way too arcade. But it had the full license, the full points series and good AI. Hopefully Milestone makes it more realistic for the sequel. The subtle name change indicates they may be doing just that.

If you read the press release it looks like Milestone are going in a more simulation route which is great. MUD was an overall great game...to me better than the MX vs ATV games. But before everyone goes crazy for me saying that, let me explain. MUD was WAY too arcade. But it came closer than any other moto console game to capturing replicating a motocross championship series. Qualifying, 2 moto format, all the real teams, bikes, gear, riders, tracks (though not replicas) and most of a full legitimate points series. All of which not many other moto games had.

I'm excited!

And please guys...I appreciate MX Simulator for what it is but I want an official game where I can play as my favorite riders against my favorite riders on real tracks in a simulated season. Like a NBA2K14 of motocross. MXS has lots of merits but it in no way offers that. So please be respectful and not turn this into another MXS thread every time another game is mentioned. Just trying to promote the only developer making a console game supporting our beloved sport. Thanks.

Though I like Reflex's control scheme and some of their physics I never feel like I am connected to the ground in Reflex. Too slick, icy feeling, weightless. With that being said I do like their control scheme. However, kamikaze AI, no full points series, never having a full license and just random AI riders finishing and riding randomly keep Reflex's playing time to a minimum for me.

For my tastes, I want to emulate the pros championship. I don't want to play as me against you guys. No offense. I want to play as KROC or Herlings against other MX2 riders or JS7 vs RV2 (though this game won;t have those guys, of course). That and a full license and points series made MUD a winner to me even if the gameplay was way too arcade. If they steer it more to simulation then they have all the other pieces in place for a true brilliant MX game. Our first.
