Yup, very impressive field indeed, the 450 class is going to be even more stacked next year. Can't wait to see if Tomac has anything for RV, because nobody else seems to be able to match his speed.
I think it will take Tomac a while before he will be at that level on the 450. He is not going to be able to manhandle it like he does the 250. He treats that thing like a 80. It's like a toy to him.

Eli practices on a 450 regularly. . . I have a feeling the weight and power won't be a problem for him.

What is the weight difference in a 250 and 450? I know weight isn't everything but just curious. I think IF Eli is going to struggle, it's going to be with situational issues like line choices, and not knowing the veteran moves. I don't think he's going to have issues with any fitness aspects.

Milsaps on the KTM & with a healthy leg.
Tomac moving up on the Honda
Kenny on his beloved 350
CR on the RM-Z again
James "refreshed"
Trey back in the saddle
RD working on his SX game
Peick in a "Better" program
A Surprise or 2 from JGR & the '14 Yamaha
Wil Hahn & some Holeshots
Josh Hill ain't screwing around
Seems to me Barcia has won on the 450.

There's going to be a more than Dozen Guys pressing the game at the front come January. RV's going to have his hands full. The 450s will be more "stacked" than we've seen in quite a while. Also, if my numbers are right: we're going to see more "Works Level" bikes than we'd believe and the racing should be pretty damn epic.

If you look at my screen-name, it's easy to see that I'm obviously an RV fan; but, he's "The Champion" & he's going to have a target on his back. It happens every year...& next year he's got someone A LOT LIKE HIM going after him: Tomac. Then there's a few others "moving up" like Kenny...who's proven he can be up-front on a 350. Would you be surprised if Wharton showed up on a Factory 450?

While we're here, Andrew's SX KTM will be pretty damn trick...Davi's, too. Davi know's how to Race with RV...especially in a Stadium.

Lets take a look at how many "Factory Bikes" will be out there (Factory Hardware available):

5 KTMs
5 Suzukis
2 Kawasakis
2 Yamahas (Possibly 4?)
4 Hondas

Yup, it's going to get interesting.
Thanks. Now I'm all excited and hyped up for the start of Supercross in late August. How am I ever gonna make it through Silly Season?

Good points man.

To me SX is just a show,a few tracks offer a race but they are few, most have a line or flo and that is what the fast guys figure out and you watch the show.

Motocross is what makes the man.RV can turn the bike with his right hand better than RD. That is what these 2 guys are doing that lets them leave the rest far behind.

Eli and ken have the same talent,Eli being better it seems or the honda likes it better maybe, but,

Now that these 2 are moving to 450 RV will have to get even better at that throttle turn. I cait wait till next season, the opening laps are going to be insane.

I just hope they all make it thru the show season

I understand that A LOT of people feel this way about SX and it's kind of an "Old School is the Cool School" thing for many...BUT...truth be told... PINK is right in one of her Lyrics...

Too School For Cool If you look at the training and skill development...it's ALL THE SAME GAME.

That's the Intellectually Honest way to look at all of this.

I can't imagine saying, "Marathon Runners are the only Real Runners & Sprinters ain't real Runners". Kinda like when some Genius says a Football "Kicker" doesn't matter...even if he DOES put the most points up on the board. DOH!

Here's the thing: SX is extremely difficult and training for BOTH the requirements for SX & MX (MX-35+ minute motos and SX-Immediate Intensity when the Gate Drops AND going 20 laps) ain't easy. Then, of-course, there's the Jumps and The Hoop-Deee's (Sorry RC, I jus' had to!)

Kinda like Pimpin'...it ain't easy.

If a guy goes out and watches a coupl'a SX's and a Coupl'a MX's he'd have to be honest and say, "Damn...it's ALL just Awesome!"

RV has 32 moto wins out of 48 starts. Dungey has 35 moto wins out of 94 starts. I'd say RV has him covered.
