It looks like that idea never made it any further than the track map drawing. It is still a solid row of tress beyond that area so I guess it never happened.

The section of the track was the same as previous years. They did clear out a bunch of trees to make way for the new section of track like on the map, but it looks like they never got it finished.

I would guess that they will have that new section ready to go next year.

They didn't run that new section and they also cut out a small bit prior to the finish line (based on Jeff's commentary during the broadcast).

ya for millville the laptimes were awfully short. i remember reading on here last week, somebody asked if they are trying to keep the tracks around 2 mins or less. i sure hope that isnt the goal and its just a coincidence but it sure seems like it. shoot, i remember when i raced glen helen and lap times for like 2:30 - 2:45 for some riders. that 30-45 seconds a lap sure adds up and makes you realize your not just driving in a nascar doing circles for 18 laps per moto.

Honestly Dennis the Millville track was not very appealing this year. Compared to how they normally do it up I was totally disappointed. Johnny must of left it alone to make it resemble the track conditions for when Alex and Jeremy are normally riding it LOL! It was not deep or really rough as far as Millville National conditions go. I also agree that they were trying to keep laptime short as possible. I dont understand that logic though because 30 minutes is 30 minutes and dont see 2 long laps making that much of a issue for the broadcast. If the track is 20 seconds longer you are talking an extra 40 seconds. It was a good time but the weather was brutal!

Not very appealing? It only provided the best 4 motos we've seen all season!! Not sure how much more appealing you can get than great racing?

Have you ever been there before? I have been going for 18 years and was just not happy with the track prep. Did I say anything about the racing? No. It was great. Track prep was just not what it usually is. Sorry if you dont like my opinion brah.

I was there. Had not been since the 90s. It sure looked smooth to me. Looked like glass compared to Red Bud.
And too many jumps. I miss a nice long rutted up bombed out high speed section myself.

If anyone listened to PULP MX last night I am not the only one who was not a big fan of the track.
