For once I don't think you're fishing here, but the problem I see is that this isn't a guy getting a lucky holeshot every moto and checking out with a clean number plate before the pack gets sorted out.

Villopoto is the fastest, strongest, most intense, mentally strong, and flat out gnarly out of all those guys. Remember Hangtown about 12 years ago when Roncada started jacking with Carmichael........yeah.

Not to compare Roncada to Dungey, but Dungey is so passive its almost a joke.

Canard would bring it (ran RV off the track once to win a title), but he is little off the pace. If Barcia can find a little something more you may get your wish.........and then we may see how long RV's teeth really are.

Guess you have to catch up to him first....taking him out when he is passing you is the puss thing to do......Let the ginger go and hope he screws up on his own or has a Stewart/Weimer issue.....

If someone took out rv this place would explode Grinning ..But I agree, no harm in a little bar banging. The 450 races are boring as hell after about the 2nd lap. At least last week barcia had the lead for a little while Smile

I would agree, the only guy I see trying it and having somewhat near the speed is Barcia....

Those days are pretty much over for the most part. There hasnt been a lot of bar banging racing on a consistant basis sinf the Bradshaw/Matasavich days. I posted a few years ago about this and everyone got all in a tissy. Everyone was whining about "but someone might get hurt" and the same old bullshit "the guys are riding sooooo much faster now".... blah, blah

But damn right I agree..... If I was racing for an AMA title I would slam my Mom so hard it knocked her ass over the berm.

Thing are too politically correct in today's racing. Again, If I was racing Villo for the title I would be brake checking him, trying to kick his front wheel in the corners, trying to throw a shoulder into him in every corner I could.... pretty much ANYTHING to stay in front/throw him off his game/get him thinking about being pissed at me instead of racing.

And YES................ I know if I was on the track with Villo The only chance I would have to do these thing is when he was lapping me for the 3rd time so please refrain from the dumb-ass posts about how I am a slow-ass ect. ect........

i think dungey , is waiting for RV to find the ground on his own , nearly happen twice last wk , its unreal the way rv is riding , but he is on the edge the whole time , where as dungey is smooth out , cant see rv keeping it on two wheels the whole yr , and i am nearly sure that s dungey plan for the first few races ,

I am ashamed of myself for not being able to recall which riders it was at the moment but someone post up the pick from the '80s/early'90s where one pro rider, during a national, stuffed/knocked down the other dude and he actually was reaching up trying to grab the dudes swingarm........... That is the kind of thing we will never see again or the one where Magoos handlebar is bent down sooo bad he was finishing the race basically with one hand on the grip and the other on the crossbar. He was just trying to finish and score a few points.... Think that would happen now-a-days.... No way

Oh thats right........ the speeds are too fast now................ LOL

You mean Larocco and Kiedrowski at Red Bud in 94'............when they were teammates. Seriously, I'm not sure who you are taking about, but I loved the fact that two guys were on the same team and were title contenders were basically willing to get in a fist fight in the pits because they were so intense.

If that is Dungey's plan he might want to go watch some video of how well that worked for all the guys following the GOAT. Cool

The point of this thread:

Nobody can beat RV straight up so the only hope is to knock him down/out of the race! Nice Dry

Or...

Please, somebody knock the guy down who's putting in all the hard work, determination and riding on the fuggin' edge to win. LAME

Yea you're right..... Everyone should just settle for second.

You have a real racer mentality there dan...................................... LAME

If we follow your statement to the logical conclusion then why don' we just have each rider ride 4 laps on the track by themselves and who ever has the fastest time gets the win...... It's racing for a reason..... JS was consistently the fastest man on the track... How did that work out for him????

Rubbins' racin'....................................................................... Rubbins' real racing anyway

There's two ways rubbin' is racing smeg

Two or more guys who are similar in speed race each other hard... and some bar banging ensues.

One or more guys are faster than the others and coming through the pack, they may bar bang their way to the front...

Creating a thread about guys who currently are not fast enough to beat someone straight up, YET, and that their strategy should be to knock him down/out... so that they can win... let me spell it for you again...

L A M E

I'm NOT concluding that what I posted was true, but it is the main sentiment underlying this stupid thread!

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... anyone but Villipoto... please... take him out!

The object is to WIN...... If someone is faster than you than as a racer your objective is to keep that rider behind you. If you have to brake check them then thats what you do. If you have to stuff them over a berm then thats what you do. What you DONT do as a racer is have the mentality "Well he is faster than me so I will just let him pass me and settle for whatever position I get".

And beating someone "straight up" means starting at the same point, riding the same distance and getting to the finish first. PERIOD.

At Outsider.... WTF are you talking about. These are two completely unrelated topics. Riding of the track is about rules. Attempting to keep a faster rider behind you is about racing strategy. Your logic is flawed.

And winning a title straight-up means everyone lines up for the drop of the gate for the first moto of the season and whoever has the points lead when the checkered flag drops on the last moto of the season is the winner STRAIGHT-UP......................... Period

The topics are unrelated and yet related. You seem to want good racing, but then you want these guys to stop and turn around if they go off the track...lol. Not much of a race when half the field are doing donuts on the access road.

And what happens when RV and RD are "bangin bars" and RD gets blown off the track... does he still have to stop and turn around?

Lol, park RV one time, and he´ll be sending you into the ground every single one of the 20 motos left this year. Stupid strategy, and a pathetic way to "win". Good luck cathcing up from dead last the remainder of the year to whoever tries!
You guys are hilarious.........like RV is untouchable!!!! What happens if Barcia parked him and then RV tries to park Barcia only to be parked again. RV knows better than to get to bar bangin with BAM BAM! He knows that if he does he risks losing the championship. I bet if RV tried to park Barcia that he'd get parked more than JB would!

Pretty sad the haters get all pumped up because RV goes 1-4 for 3rd OA despite crashing twice... oh well, I guess you need a glimmer of hope to cling to. Woohoo
