We've had a couple of small tornadoes touch down. So far there's been no loss of life reported. We have a cell with circulation over Tulsa right now though. It's becoming more organized and will probably be more of a threat heads toward Arkansas. I hate this time of year!

I'll just drink a couple of more beers, and go to bed and hope for the best.

Thanks for the concern Bill.

Damn man, it must be tough living there this time of year or has it become easier through the years?

Bill, living in Colorado, and this is weird, but I feel partially responsible for the storms that head east from our state to pound the central plains. You get that? Maybe it's just me. Anyway, best wishes to all out there. Hope those funnels hit the ground where nobody's around....and do nothing more.

Thought about that also, think the Rocky's cause an eddy if that makes sense?

Eddy Definition: a river feature that forms just downstream of an obstruction. An eddy can form on the side of a river or immediately after a boulder in a river. The water in an eddy is flowing in the opposite direction from the rest of the river and can at times be swirling and violent.

Storm chasers are saying full roofs are falling out of the sky. About 10 miles east of me. Storms are east bound.

John, most Oklahoma tornadoes come from the south. Usually Lawton thru okc and right up I-44 to Tulsa and then onward to the ft. Smith Ar. area.

storms slammed my neck of the woods all night last night. No tornado, but the wind and heavy rain had me sitting up in bed ready to grab the kids and head to the basement. I'm tired as hell today from little sleep.

I know it's not possible for all but if I had to live in a state that has frequent tornado activity every spring I would have a fall out bedroom in the basement equipped with geny, CB, can goods and water. enough to hold and keep family members for at least a week.

Oh-ya, and a bucket w/baking powder or lime...Smile

Stay safe guys!
