Well, RV may have put on a clinic today, but 3/3 with two holeshots and leading half moto two isn't anything to cry about.

Yea but he can't be pumped getting beat like that, if he rides like that all year he better be consistent

I think it's pretty obvious he has the entire season in mind and really used the race to gauge his fitness and speed. His bike setup in the first moto wasn't the best and you could see this repeatly in the moto. My guess they did better for moto 2 considering it took half the moto for RV to get past him. I don't think JS is complaining with what he did today.

If it were RV on Stewart instead of Dungey the lead would have not lasted that long in moto 2 IMO.

I love Dungey but it was so aggravating watching him running right up Stewart's rear wheel but not going around. Dungey was carrying way more speed into the turns and had to shut it down to keep from running into the 7 but still could not make a pass. He did hit Stewart the one time even and then let off and did not jump the uphill double to avoid hitting the 7 in the turn. It just boggles my mind that Dungey operates like that while RV will blow right by the rider in front of him.

Dungey has a bit of Mr. nice guy on the track. I think if it was later in the season he may have gotten more aggressive.

I'm not so sure it's lack of aggressiveness so much as the ability to summon crazy spurts of speed to get around someone. Seems more like he's already pushing as much as he's willing, so unless a nice passing opportunity presents itself, he's not going to get around a guy who goes his speed. Villopoto on the other hand is just amazing at kicking it up a gear and going gnarly fast just to get around someone.
