Before the season started I bet with my friend who the winner would be. I bet Chicago, he bet St Louis. But i am kind of rooting for Ottawa or Detroit.

Been watching the WHL finals. Edmonton Oil kings vs Portland winter hawks. Fantastic hockey. Back and fourth with momentum swings. Both teams leaving it all on the ice. Referee's let them play. Only 2 penalties last game. Portland looks a little faster, better offense. However oil kings goalie stopped 49 shots yesterday. Portland leads series 3-2. Game 6 Sunday. Portland probably has the # 1 draft pick in Seth Jones ( defense), he will most likely join the Colorado Avalanche as the first pick. Fanastic defenseman 17 years old, 6'4", 210 lbs. Great passer, fast. Build a team around this guy. I believe he is from Texas. His old man "popeye" jones played in NBA.Cool

I was hoping for a kings/ducks series... But the ducks decided to not show up for game 7. So now we face the sharks.. and im a bit apprehensive about it.

who you guys have for these game 7's tonight?

I got the leafs and caps. Hopefully no defence ovi will actually put some pucks in the net, as it counts tonight.

I agree on your pics dave. I think the Kings are a better all around team than the sharks. I didn't think the B's would make it out of the
first round, but maybe they are on to something now!! I dont think the pens have the D and goaltending, and that is all the sens have.

On a side note, my son started playing hockey this spring. This seems to be his home(the penalty box)Laughing 3 goals and 6 penalties. From my instagram..

Yea, the pens could be in alot of trouble this series based off of defense alone... Idk but i just have this weird hunch the sens are going deep, Maybe all the way.

I'm a leaf fan but was really happy they lost because of all the dick fans making the "Toronto Stronger" signs.
I also can't stand the bruins, so that should say something.

Really excited for the 2nd round. Not one series I can't wait to watch!

Bummed about the Leafs blowing that 4-1 today. They did improve quickly though. They were so sloppy in game one, it looked like it would be a blowout series. Game 7 was a good match-up.

Can't believe they blew that 3 goal lead. I knew as soon as the B's got their second goal that there was a ton of trouble coming. Leafs were my second hope - Sens first. Winner of the Sens-Pens series takes the Cup.

Dave-My boy Calvin has been playing forward lately but started out on D. He is a squirt and this is his first session so the coach has been changing it up so they can learn. Today is his last practice and the parents can skate with them and we have a parents vs kids scrimmage. I have been excited, so I can be his worst nightmare on the iceLaughing

Parents vs. kids scrimmages are the best memories I have of my kids minor hockey time - too much fun.

And man i think my kings are picking up speed. They looked very good at times versus the sharks. I'm glad we took the first win.

as for the pens v sens series... The sens definitely have some work to do, and hopefully they come out swinging next game.

As a die hard Sharks fan, I couldn't believe Quick last night. Sharks attacked the entire 3rd period and couldn't get anything by the dude. I'm anxious for Thursday now.

The Sharks blew it last night. They had it in the bag with one minute to go pretty much, and let the Kings score twice. I think they'll be better playing at home though. They always play better in the tank.

I'm getting lucky on my game selection. Went to the game last night too, and man, what a thriller! Scary when Kopitar went down, but the place went nuts when he came back out on the ice!

noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! Talk about a lame ass loss, I seriously felt like the sharks were getting away with alot but, im sure the sharks fans felt the same way, in games 1 and 2.

o well, not too bad of a loss, Pushed it to overtime and played hard, I think we can pull out a victory in the tank on monday.

What a win tonight! The best the Kings have looked this entire series. I think if they can win in SJ if they play with the intensity they had tonight.
