I am currently debating to buy a brand new husqvarna cr125 . does any out there have one and what do they rekon ?? Also where can you get performance parts for huskys (websites as im from nz and we have piss all aftermarket parts for huskys) . Any help would be much apreciated Smile

What other performance parts do you need? A new cr125 comes with a complete 144 kit if and when you want to install it.

pipe , suspension bits , head , stators , just what ever i can get really . In new zealand the 144 kit is a optinal extra , and cost a extra $600 . Also i want to keep it a 125cc so i can race in the 125 class at nationals .

Cafe husky man..its the way forward. Do you ride motox or woods? Not all that much info on these 125/144s for motox but there's still plenty of tuners out there. I can get a deal on a 125 with the 144 kit included for 10k in welly. To be honest fella the 125 isn't all that much cop in 125 form and if your racing in 125 only classes then well you could be at a distinct disadvantage.

I'm considering getting one and getting the 125 barrel bored out and ported to a 165 to compete in mx2.

I'm from the UK and there's a fair few tuners back home also wally bean from the US does stellar work too apparently. Again check cafe husky.

VHM & BUD racing do heads with different inserts and the wee husky benefits from more compression or so I've heard.
Procircuit, FMF, HGS do good pipes too

Hey Million , Im from Taranaki wbu? yeeah ive checked it out , has alot of helpful information!! thanks for that . i ride motox , I rode my cr125 over the weekend , completely syock standard and i was blowen away with how much poke it had ! has pretty much next to nothing down bottom but up top shit it goes good !! Iv riden rm125's and they wouldnt even come close to it ! .

Aww yeeah sweet do you race moto or ?

I'v sused me a pro circuit full system for it with a r304 shorty , Should be here around 6 weeks O_o . and have sent my suspesion to performance factory to sort the stiff front forks out .

Sorry to crash this thread, but what is the story with Performance Factory? Will they do anyone's suspension? What are their contact details? I have heard a lot of good things about their work, but can't seem to find much information.

performance factory was owned by jimmy who does all ben townley's suspension and pretty much all the top guys in nz and some aussie . i've even heard of guys in america sending there stuff over . Someone told me back a few years ago when the yamaha team was sponsored by subway that jimmy set the suspension up in there practise bikes , there race bikes had full ohlins suspension and they liked there practise bikes suspension better . Performance factory has now been brought by renny who runs the company out of new plymouth , he has all jimmys settings and does a good job . rennys cell phone is 0276974565 if you want to get hold of him .
