Yep, '08s. One for me and one for my boy. It's gonna be chilly this weekend but so far looking dry which I'll be happy with.

I would be if I put graphics on my GoPros. Smile We're not fast enough for those fancy graphics. Smile It'll be my first races in Amateur GT this weekend so my goal is to not come in last. A second goal is to not get lapped but that one might be out of reach. Smile

Man I am so jealous we are getting more freaking snow up here in Minnesota and I have a brand new rear tire sitting next to my bike just waiting to get used......

Bummer! The snow went north of us. We're getting a lot of rain right now and I think it's pretty much the same but a little colder where we're riding. The track will be green for sure. A brand new set of Michelin slicks should hopefully help.

The ones I have on there now (in the picture) are Power Cups (well, the one on the back of mine is a leftover Power One). I used them at another track this past year and the track we're going to this weekend runs opposite direction so I'm burning up the other side of them on Saturday. I have an extra set of rims I am mounting a new set of Michelin Power Slicks on and I'll run them for my noon race and then switch them on the boy's bike for his afternoon race. On Sunday I'll be burning up the rest of a set of Pirelli Supercorsa SC2s on the boy's bike and Dunlop KR448/449 slicks on my bike and run the Michelin slicks for the races again on Sunday. Hopefully that works out. I like changing tires. Smile

Sounds like you have a busy weekend ahead. You'll have to report back which tires you preferred. I wish I could run back to back rides on different tires. I am currently locked into Q2's but I want to try the new power supersport tires but will have to wait until I get a new bike or burn up these Q2's.

We've run all of those tires before except for the Michelin Power Slicks and like them all. I suppose it isn't the smartest move to race on a tire we've never run before but, I wanted to try them out. Smile My favorite so far are the Dunlop Slicks but the Power Cups/Ones and the Supercorsa SCs are good too. I was going to go with the Dunlop GP-As instead of the Michelin slicks but Michelin is doing a contingency in the Sportsman class and I think my boy has a good chance of getting some of that money.

One day down and one day to go. I sucked ass today BUT XXVoid MainXX junior had a SUPERIOR day. He was in the last race of the day, it was his first race ever and oh what a race it was. Best one of the day by far. He started in row one 3rd spot from the left and pulled the holeshot. Dude on a 675 ended up passing him out of the last turn of the first lap and he was running 2nd for about a lap. The 675 pulled a little gap on him but junior ended up reeling him back in. He passed the dude on the 675 around the third lap and pulled a bit of a gap on the 675. They were WAY ahead of the rest of the pack at this point. The 675 ended up reeling him back in on the last lap and was riding his ass and tried to pass between the last two corners but the boy held him off. My boy didn't get the best drive out of the last corner and it was side by side all the way to the finish line. The 675 ended up getting him by .002 seconds. Everyone was going nuts including me. Pretty damn cool! The boy won some contingency money towards some new Michelins... Hopefully he can beat the 675 in tomorrow's race. I didn't finish last in my class but wasn't that far from it. Smile

Void!!!!!!

Come on man. Two weeks into the season and you are worried about bikes?

You better be worried about those redskins in Atlanta. They are looking tough in the Central.

Kidding! Looks like you are about ready to have a freaking blast. Enjoy!

I did a lot better today even though the results were slightly worse. I picked up my pace but I ended up having to start my race out of hot pit because I was a few seconds late getting to the sighting lap because I had been working on the boy's bike after he put it down on a practice session (no major damage or injury). I ended up catching and passing the last 4 guys + a few guys crashed out and I ended up with 6th today. My son and the guy on the 675 both got even faster today than they were yesterday but unfortunately the guy on the 675 picked up just a little more than my boy. The 675 guy started in the front row and my son started in the 2nd row. My son ended up getting the holeshot and led the first lap. The 675 passed him shortly after and pulled a little gap but my son did keep him in site for most of the race. He backed it down quite a bit with about a lap and a half to go and wasn't paying too much attention to the 3rd place guy. 3rd place guy caught him and passed him with less than a lap to go but my boy latched on and hung with him until the last corner where the other guy got hung up a bit by a lapper and my son got them both on the inside for another 2nd place. Another nail biter that had us all going nuts in the tower. Smile I think if my boy had raced in my race he might have ended up on the podium in it as well AND might have lapped me. Sad I'm friggen' beat!

Awesome Void, glad to see you and your boy had a good weekend and most of all came out safe and sound. That first race of your son's sounds like an amazing race. Does a 675 have a big HP advantage over your ZX6's? I know they seem slimmer than the inline 4s.

The new Daytona definitely has a hp advantage over our stock '08 zx6rs. We both have to run against 1000s too so we have a significant disadvantage as far as power there. I think our '08s are only rated around 108.

Fat lady ain't sung yet, generally folks wait until they have won before they start hounding someone.....it looks like it will be 5/16 before I send the checks out or pay to your favorite organization.....if that's okay. I'm sure the other 3 will be okay with that but if you are going to freak all out i can pay yours right after the Vegas. You will have to use your work email or some other way to verify it's you. Not sure if this is the real Huck, I thought i saw another huck a while back on here.
