I watched it from home and the only problem I had with the production was watching the show for an hour before seeing a race. If I were a potential fan and someone had told me to watch it because they were sure I'd like it I would have turned it off simply for the lack of actual racing! It was like a one hour infomercial showing the same thing over and over again. Will all the live shows be like that? Has anyone had the time to figure just how much actual racing time there was during the entire show? I'm thinking about 44 minutes, if that. But, like most of you I'm a hard core fan and I hope I don't get smoked too bad tomorrow at work by all the non-fans I told to be sure and watch it. I tell just about everyone I work with to check it out every year but after this, I think I'll just keep it to myself to enjoy, and that I did...

Totally agree, if I was not a hard core fan I would have turned it off about 15 or 20 after it started.

If they are trying to bring in non-core people, they are going in the opposite direction.

Rutledge Wood, did I do something in a previous life to have to be tortured like this, hell bring back Michaels if I had to choose or just put up a green screen till the racing starts.

Actually I would prefer the green screen.

I actually took it a BIG step further, and called into an Edmonton radio talk show on Friday afternoon discussing the hockey lockout, and told everyone to tune into Speed Saturday night to watch some real athletes do their job!!
