AOL 4.0 disks are free at the cash register at 7-11!!

I'm a two-stroke taliban member, but these guys piss me off because:

1. They built this bike, and still keep a "secret" (even though its not cough microtec cough cough)
2. they still can't get the low rpm fueling right

I saw this bike at my local track a month or two ago. It spent most of the day leaning on the fence over the back. I guess they were having trouble with it. I think it's cool that on their own, these guys have made fuel injection a reality in a two stroke, though.

It was a reality in the mid 90s, on a 4cyl, 200hp 500 GP two-stroke, and held the highest qualifying speed until the 990cc fourstroke was introduced to GP racing. Hockenheim 94 or 95.

I could be wrong, but I THINK they are using Microsquirt, which is an ECU about the size of an android cell phone, stand-alone. It's part of the Megasquirt product line. It's do-able, but the low rpm fueling is a problem because two-stroke MX bikes have very little intake manifold plenum volume to work with. but I might be wrong, they might be using something else. There have been guys who have tried to Microsquirt the RZV500s and the 500Gammas, and they run, but they switch back to the carbs.

Perhaps the reason they are so secretive about it is because they do not want to start blabbering about it until they get it running 100%, which is perfectly reasonable.

I think they need to machine an aluminum intake "manifold", and aluminum airboot (like the guy with the 2012 CRF/KTM250SX swap) so they can get a more accurate read on the incoming air, perhaps?

The guy who knows the scoop on this is on this forum, his name is "Harv Mushman"

That is interesting (although a bit over my head). I don't know him personally, but the guy who owns it rides at my local track all the time. Thanks for the info.
